Tom is on the "regular" neurosurgery floor now and out of ICU. He's unplugged from all the tubes and looks a lot more comfortable. They cut his headwrap off last night. I don't know what I was expecting when they took it off, but I couldn't even tell that he had anything done. He has all his hair and they stapled his wound shut, but you can hardly see the staples in his hair. His jaw is a little sore because they had to cut through some muscle up by his temple when they made the incision, but other than that he is feeling well.
The recovery from the surgery has gone exactly as planned and it looks like he'll be able to check out and head home tomorrow. We're so happy and thankful that the surgery went well and that he feels so great. It is nervewracking for everyone, though, to have to wait on the pathology report for the tumor. Tom and Linda will meet with the doctor here at U of M next week when the results come back.

Tom,
Glad to hear your surgery went well and that you may be going home today. You obviously have great support from your family and your many friends. Anyone who would bring in his own weights to lift in the evening hours of recruit school is tough enough to beat this. Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you await the pathology report.
