Going Home Today

My dad was discharged from the hospital and is on his way home. Again, I wanted to thank everyone that continues to send messages. I talked with my parents about getting phone calls and visitors once they get home. While things went well with the surgery, my dad needs some time to heal. Yesterday there were just a few visitors at the hospital and I could see what a toll it was taking on him. He was exausted by the time everyone left. To give him some time to heal up, we're asking that everyone hold off on phone calls and stopping by their house to visit for at least a week.

I know everyone is concerned and wants to let them know how much they support them. If you'd like to do that, feel free to continue to leave messages here on the website. I pass every one along to my folks. I check the messages several times a day. At first, I was able to respond to everyone, but now I'm just either printing them out or having my dad read them from the computer. Whether you get a response or not, please know that Tom and Linda will get every message you send and that your thoughts, prayers, and funny stories mean a lot to them.
