Life is good
There have been lots of ups and downs since our last entry. Tom experienced extreme abdominal pain and had nausea for ten days. There were lots of theories but mostly everyone thought that it was from the flu that he experienced right at the start of our stay here...two weeks ago. His system really got screwed up from that along with lots of meds, chemo, sleep deprevation, etc. After a battery of tests they have concluded that he was probably experiencing pancreatitus. Forgive my spelling. Not good enough on the computer to check it either. He is off of all food and liquid by mouth and is relying on TPN (food in a bag) for sustenance. He was out of it for a number of days. We knew he was in there working...and today he made an appearance again! He was his old self once more. The nausea is gone and the pain meds are being needed a little less. He even went on a ride all mummified in blankets outside for some fresh air. His mother came to visit and there they were with matching Tom Hundt smiles. It was wonderful. That is where I got the"Life is good" part. He is resting comfortably as I write this. He is strong in his body and his conviction to get better. The nurses call our room The Love Room. They can feel the positive energy. We feel your love too. Thank you everyone. We'll talk to you later. Linda

Great news! You two are so special there is no wonder why the nurses named your room "The Love Room". Perfect for Valentine's Day. I'm so glad Tom was able to get some fresh air...some of the little things make all the difference. Keep the faith!
Love, Shawn, Jon, Trevor and Jenna
Love coming from the Girls in TC thoughts and prayers too. Sure that the fresh air was a great help to Tom, seeing MOM is always a good thing. Take this one day at a time, that all you can do. We all are here for all of you.
Happy Valentines Day to the Love Birds
Janie
