If you're going to ask for something, make it big

We saw the Chemo guy today. He went through all the usual tests and questions to see how badly the chemo is affecting me. His face is quite animated, and most tests or question he asked, his eye brows would go up and down or he'd give me that "you gotta be kidding look". Blood work is still perfect. We got the stupendous news that I'm one of a very few people that don't need intervention to keep the blood where it belongs. To me that is another building block of proof that I will beat this.
I believe the reasons are God said "ask and you will recieve" Pastor Dave on WITL radio says "If you are going to ask God for something, make it big" This is big, and all of your prayers have taught me to believe in God's power. We are helping ourselves too, with eating food that will heal me, a little bad stuff too once in a while. I'm also continuing to do my best with conditioning and that is a real satisfying thing.
I'm reading a book called "Lance Armstrongs War" I thought maybe he and I had some things in common that I could use in this fight. We do not. The book is more physically inspirational than cancer fighting inspirational. I was struck by one of his quotes though. "People with cancer are not sick, they are fighting for their lives". Fortunately for me I have never felt sick and I have known from day one what the stakes are.
Linda and I are strong. We are very happy and at peace. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers, you are a huge part of the healing equation.

Tom
