The start of another week. This one without radiation! I'll stay with chemo until 11-30, then a couple week break. Things are still going very well and no doctors until late next week. First time since August I've had that long between doctor appointments.
Another first since August...I lifted weights at the Powerhouse Gym! It was great. I spent time lifting and on the elliptical runner, pretty much the same routine I had to walk away from. I felt good but was surprised. Each week I have reported to the doctors that I was not suffering any weakness. I guess I was exaggerating a little, but not intentionally. Aerobically, I felt as strong as always but the weights were much heavier than I remembered. I guess getting strong again will be added to my list of challenges. One of the things Rick Rockman, author of "Rainbow Man" (a cancer survivor book) credited with helping to save his life was exercise. The cure nearly killed him, but he made sure no matter how ill or tired he was he at least got in a walk. As good as I feel now, I can do anything. In "moderation" of course.
Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. I know that is the source of my good fortune and what gives Linda and I the strength to fight this disease. We are strong, I am being cured and saved and speaking for both of us, we are incredibly happy and at peace.
