Is my brain a battleground?

Week two of radiation and chemo are done. I'm experiencing an interesting phenomenom during radiation. During each treatment phase, there are hundreds of brilliant white flashes going off like fireworks and an unpleasant odor, like a struck match. . Techs say this happens to a few people, but not many.

In my mind, I'm a battle zone. Science vs cancer. The flashes, to me at least, are the cancer cells being destroyed. The smell is the inevitable stink of war. Watching that as a very biased bystander, I know, thanks to science and all your thoughts and prayers, I will be the winner.
