I'm heading to my parent's place after work today. Once I get there we're going to drive to Ann Arbor and spend the night. It looks like my dad has the first surgery slot tomorrow (Tuesday, 8/18). The surgery will take around 5 hours. At his last appointment the doctor said if things go well, Tom could be heading home as early as Thursday. Amazing!
I'll try to give an update tomorrow after the surgery.
